About This Dog
Dobby- 8 year old pug cross yorkie. Pug looks....Has lived with (3- now teens) kids with plenty visitors, (2) cats and another dog (older lab). Dob- 26.3.2017. He will be 9 next March 2026. Hes a good boy- gives a paw, sits on command, toilet trained (although has no preference of where he poops- would happily poop while crossing the road) , good off the lead, good recall. Fully vaccinated, castrated, flead and wormed to date. Used to farm land/ tractors/lorries/ horses- no issues with any of these. No health issues, loves cuddles, doesnt need to walk far but does love walks. He does struggle more in the summer with the heat when on walks. He loves food. Is a bit noisy in the car (squeals... like an excited/nervous noise) and is still excitable at meal times/ when you pick up the lead to go for a walk. Good guard dog- makes plenty noise when anyone is outside, or anything unusual is in the garden .Ideal companion for an older person who cant go too far, who is home a lot.
Reason for sale-peri menopausal woman with stressful life with job and 3 autistic kids who no longer pay him any attention. His companion, the lab, is 14 and hasn't got long left... he could be living a much happier life than he is here with lots of cuddles and time spent on him. Full of character and pleasant wee soul. We have had him since he was 8 weeks old and feel he was well socialised. He didnt do well with crate training,- did better with the lab showing him what to do. Sleeps on the sofa here in downstairs living room. Can't eat in same room as the lab though as would steal all his food as well as his own. Has had dental appointment and had bad teeth removed last year. No other issues really. Gets a dentastixk every day but won't let us clean his teeth. Vet record will accompany him plus lead, food dish, and any other bits I have here. He is ok to bath and has had his nails cut before a few times by a groomer.
Decent homes only need apply. I want him to have better than he has here. Can provide more photos/videos on request.
