About This Dog for Adoption

Hugo's ideal home

Hugo is a 3-year-old Pug. He can be worried by unfamiliar people and other dogs, so he is looking for an adult only home with no other resident dogs. Hugo can be protective over his food, but this is manageable if his adopters understand when to give him his space. He would prefer a calm and peaceful home as he can be easily spooked by unfamiliar noises. He would also like quiet walking routes, but he does travel well in the car so he is happy to be driven to these areas for his walks. Hugo is not used to being left, so he will need adopters that are around a lot of the time, and he will need an enclosed garden to potter about in.

Could you be Hugo's perfect match?

Hugo is super sweet and affectionate once he has a bond with you and he loves a snuggle on the sofa. He walks nicely on lead when there aren’t too many other dogs or people around, but he does have a luxating patella, so he’s not one for long walks. Hugo has previously had a singular seizure whilst in our care, but this is something our vet can have a discussion about with any potential applicants. Hugo is currently living off site in a foster home where he is absolutely adored, his foster carers tell us he is a really sweet boy that loves attention and sitting on their laps.
