Description

Bean's ideal home

Bean is a one-of-a-kind little character looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can truly thrive. This four-year-old Pug-Beagle cross may be small, but he has a big personality! He needs an adult-only home in a peaceful area, with patient adopters who will respect his boundaries and give him the space he needs to settle. Experience with nervous dogs would be a real bonus, as Bean is still working on his confidence and handling.

A private garden is a must, as he loves a good zoom around. Bean will need to be the only pet in the home, though he is happy to have calm dog friends at a distance. This cheeky chap will require multiple visits from his adopters to build a bond before he goes home. He has previously been left alone for longer hours but will need this built up gradually in his new home.

Could you be Bean's perfect match?

Behind Bean’s cheeky face is a sensitive soul who needs time to build trust. Once he gets to know you, he will happily show off his playful side—chasing after his favourite ball, tucking into tasty treats, or zooming around with pure joy! He does love a rubber bone with peanut butter and softened kibble rubbed all over it. Bean enjoys fuss from those he trusts but always on his own terms, and he is learning that handling can be a positive experience through his consent-based training.

Bean is housetrained in a home environment but will need time to adjust. He is a brilliant traveller—jumping into his crate happily and settling well in the car. Bean will need to be kept on a lead in public and muzzled for vet visits and formal handling. Bean does have some possible breed related medical needs that our lovely team will discuss during the reservation process.

With the right home, Bean will be a fun and affectionate furry friend. If you have a quiet home, plenty of patience, and a love for quirky little dogs with big personalities, Bean could be the one for you!

Pug Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Pug.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
