About This Dog for Adoption

Freda's ideal home

This adorable little lady is Freda! She is a 1 year old Pug Crossbreed and she is the sweetest girl. Freda loves people, walkies, treats and being involved in whatever is going on in your day. She is able to live with dog savvy secondary school aged children, as her busy personality might be too much for younger children. Freda loves other animals, so she could live with other animals in the home as long as they match her energy, or will be tolerant of her energetic play style! Freda's ideal adopter would be someone who likes to get out and about, play, cuddle on the sofa, and is ready to work with Freda on some areas of training. She is still a young dog, and has all the enthusiasm and brains to learn so much. It would be amazing if Freda's adopter is able to be at home with her to begin with and until she is settled enough to start building up leaving time.

Could you be Freda's perfect match?

Freda is an adorable, funny and loving little lady with so much excitement for life! She is still young, so will need an adopter that will help her with confidence building as she can find some new situations a little overwhelming. Although she is bursting with energy, with plenty of enrichment and a little bit of training, she should settle in to her new home amazingly! If you think you can offer Freda her forever home, please submit an adoption application and include her as a 'Favourite' dog. Thank you!

Pug Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Pug.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Pug Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
