About This Dog for Adoption

Billy's ideal home

Meet little Billy, a sweet senior boy looking for a calm, understanding home to enjoy his golden years. At 9 years old, he’s happiest living the quiet life filled with gentle strolls, cosy naps, and the occasional tasty treat.

Billy can find meeting new people a little daunting at first, but with patience and kindness, he soon relaxes and shows his loving nature. Because of this, he’s looking for a peaceful, adult-only home where he can settle at his own pace and truly flourish.

He’s been housetrained before, though he might need a gentle reminder or two as he adjusts to his new surroundings. Billy is comfortable being left alone for short periods, but this should be built up gradually, with plenty of toys and a comfy spot to snooze while you’re away.

Here at the centre, Billy always greets his carers with a happy, wagging tail and loves going for walks full of sniffs and new discoveries. He’s made a few doggy pals, but for now, he’d prefer to be the only pet in his forever home.

Billy can sometimes feel a little anxious about handling, especially during vet visits, so he’s learning to wear a muzzle and is doing brilliantly! With training, patience, and plenty of tasty rewards, he’s showing just how clever and eager he can be.

Could you be Billy's perfect match?

Billy is a sweet lad who is looking for a loving and relaxed home, where he can enjoy all the comforts of home. He would benefit from understanding adopters who can visit him a few times here at the centre to build a relationship with him and are committed to getting involved in his ongoing training.
