About This Dog for Adoption

Winston (Winny)'s ideal home

Pocket rocket pug Winston just loves his human interactions, he's a keen learner and has a few tricks up his sleeve. He loves treats and is a smart boy who is willing to always improve his skills for food rewards.
He'd love a secure garden and an active family who'll be happy to exercise him regularly, he is used to a having at least two walks a day, and these are for around an hour each time.

Could you be Winston (Winny)'s perfect match?

Winny (as he has been affectionately know as) would like to be part of the family and join you on your adventures, he is good to travel and is used to being on the back seat or the car with a harness and seat belt. He sleeps in a doughnut bed, he has a few toys that he treasures, Winny will be a year old in August.
He can pull on the lead, so potential adopters will need to consider this and support his training for loose leash walking, as we mentioned, he is smart, so should be able to pick this up with a consistent approach. He has not lived with children, therefore we suggest children in the home be of secondary school age.
If Winston is right for you and you are right for Winton - remember to add him to your favourites

Pug Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Pug.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Pug Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
